I'm Mikaela R., though my family and friends know me best as "Misha." I have been writing poetry since 2016, and have been writing in general much earlier than that. I fell in love with poetry though, and specialized in it throughout my Creative Writing major. I also took up a minor degree in Japanese Studies, though I am definitely not fluent in the language yet. I made this website mainly to post my poetry and (selectively) transcribed journal entries from my personal journal. I chose the site title "poetics" because I have been interested in the poetics, or the crafts and philosophies behind poetry
